My Enemy, My Friend

Have seen many scary things that insanity brings
yeah, it’s been a hairy path I walk –

Have fought many battles alone
faced-off with the devil on my own turf
had to make him my friend to survive,
sacred ground under my roof,
where I could feel the pain of disbelief
making a believer out of me –

There’s no substitute for experience,
no laughing in the face of Love
