Having a Field Day

A man without scruples
could be a liar
a thief of affections
a cheat at cards
or in another bed of ultimate dread

Don’t be such a Dick, Tom or Harry
thick as a brick & twice as scary
the prospect of war is reason to worry

An amateur without a license,
bitterness, or shame
A strange one in the public eye
in denial of the river’s flow
Can’t grasp on to any thing
to save the world from drowning
in the undertow of unhealthy aspirations
& faulty information
Meanwhile, The Press is having a field day
and the ball is still in play
